Dutifulness

Dutifulness

Description

Sense of Duty refers to how individuals perceive their moral obligations and how they respond to them.

Individuals with high scores in Sense of Duty strictly adhere to their ethical principles and tend to fulfill their moral obligations as they understand them. They consider it essential to honor their moral commitments.

People with low marks tend to be somewhat casual about principles and moral obligations and may be somewhat unreliable. They see these methods as necessary social skills and think that straightforward people are naive.

Situational examples

A person who always strives to honor their moral commitments, even when it is difficult, demonstrates a high Sense of Duty.
A person who is more likely to ignore or bypass their moral responsibilities, believing that moral rules are not always applicable in daily life, is an example of low Sense of Duty.
An individual who actively engages in volunteer and charitable actions because they firmly believe it is their moral duty to contribute to the well-being of others, illustrates a high Sense of Duty.
A person who regularly escapes their moral obligations by justifying their actions with extenuating circumstances or rationalizations expresses a low Sense of Duty.
