Trust

Trust

Description

Trust refers to a person's tendency to have faith in the sincerity and good intentions of others.

Individuals with high Trust scores tend to instinctively believe that others are generally honest and well-intentioned. They are inclined to trust people and give them the benefit of the doubt. Such individuals are open to relationships and interactions with others, as they assume that most people are trustworthy.

People with lower Trust scores tend to be more cynical and skeptical. They assume that others may be dishonest or dangerous. They are more likely to question others' intentions and may be more hesitant to engage in relationships or extend trust. Their distrust may stem from past experiences or a general attitude of caution.

Situational examples

An individual who quickly places trust in new friends and colleagues, believing they have good intentions, demonstrates a high level of Trust.
A police investigator who maintains a skeptical attitude during suspect interrogations, assuming that most people are not honest, may exhibit a low level of Trust.
People who are willing to collaborate with strangers in community projects and show openness to new ideas demonstrate a high level of Trust.
An individual who constantly distrusts others' motives and believes that everyone has a hidden agenda exhibits a lack of Trust.
